Welcome to the Sacramento Regional Center for International Trade Development.
Strategically located in the state's capitol and the heart of Northern California,
the Sacramento Regional Center for International Trade Development (CITD) provides
free consulting, research and other low cost seminars and services to enable
the region's exporters and importers to take advantage of the growing opportunities
in the global marketplace.
Grant funded by the Chancellor's Office of the California Community Colleges
and hosted by Los Rios Community College, the CITD also supports the endeavors
of community college faculty to internationalize curriculum in its efforts to
prepare students to participate in the global economy.
Since its inception in 1990, the Center has served more than 2000 clients and
provided international trade information to about 6000 persons and organizations.
Like other CITDs, the Center also operates a California Mexico Trade Assistance
Center (CMTAC) and is co-located with the Sacramento Small Business Development
Center (SBDC), all operating out of Los Rios's Business and Economic Development
Center at 1410 Ethan Way in Sacramento.
To enhance client success, the CITD maintains numerous partnerships with other
international agencies such as Northern California World Trade Center, USDOC's
Sacramento Export Assistance Center, California Technology Trade and Commerce
Agency, Mexican Consulate, California Chamber of Commerce, and many other governmental
agencies. Special programs include international trade classes offered online
and while the CITD/CMTAC serves companies in all industries, a new program targets
export services to the region's burgeoning wine industry.
